Problem Statement:
HOW MIGHT WE
help people find rewarding job of their choice
Insight:
Finding a job is a tough challenge for people migrating from academics to the professional
world.While the physical aspect of getting an appointment letter is a tough affair, there is an
intense battle brewing in the heart and mind of candidate.
The battle between emotional and the rational, whether to go with heart (job that can be
enjoyed) or go with mind (job with better prospect.)
Why can’t both be attained, that’s the problem I am trying to solve.
Prototype 1
Create a professional social network of employed
(mentors) and job seekers to exchange information
The social network of Employed and Job seekers would be a
good idea because today’s employed were yesterdays
job-seeker and today’s job seekers will be tomorrow’s employed.
The exchange of information will be a great way for
job-seekers to identify and find the job of their choice.
Prototype 1
A brief description of the solution
The solution will help people transitioning from school to work
environment to understand the professional world and navigate
there to find the suitable job.
There will be three stake-holders in the solution:
a. Job-seeker (the main stakeholders)
b. Employed, who will work as mentors to jobseekers
c. Employer, looking for suitable employers
Prototype 1
Transactions (value addition) for each user
a. Job-seeker (the main stakeholders)
1. Will do the proprietary psychometric and skill mapping test to know
about his strength, weaknesses and preferences
2. Will select mentors from available mentors
3. Interact with mentors for career guidance
4. Search available jobs and apply
b. Employed, who will work as mentors to jobseekers
1. Will work as mentors to job-seekers
2. Share real life experiences with jobseekers
c. Employer, looking for suitable employers
1. Look for prospective employees
2. Post jobs (Revenue Model)
3. Share company/industry information

This platform is a good idea. This can
actually help school pass out help find
good jobs.
How people would know about this
portal, and why a mentor or employer
would join.
How many mentors can I keep.
Will there by enough jobs on the portal.
Some incentive should be worked for
mentors, because it seems they have
nothing to gain from joining. And the
solution will fail if they wouldn’t join.
It would be good idea to add training as
important task in the solution.
Let people do two jobs. One to earn a living and one for self
actualization
Such a situation will allow people to earn their living as well as
realize their inner self. Many people want to pursue a hobby,
profession, career that is not financially rewarding. Such people
should be allowed to pursue additional career, besides job for
compensation, to follow their dreams.

Prototype 2
A brief description of the solution
The solution will help people transitioning from school to work
an environment without destroying their inner urges and the
need for self actualization.
With modern technologies its possible for people to work from
remote places or give same output in less time.
The additional time saved can be utilized in pursuing other
profession/hobbies.
Prototype 2
Transactions (value addition) for each user
a. Job-seeker (the main stakeholders)
1. Will put less hour in work, 3-4 fays instead of mandatory 5 days
2. Can take out sufficient time for additional job/hobbies
3. Compromise on compensation
b. Employer, looking for suitable employers
1. Look for people who can work 3-4 days a week
2. Can cut down on manpower expenses
