Road surface type & elevation are major factors Yellow triangles are all accidents w/injuries 2005-2009 Red plus is a fatality 2005-2009 Idaho DoT only has data through 2009 right now
  7. CCs be aware of conditions your Airmen are driving in Educate your Airmen on inclement weather driving risks Check http://511.idaho.gov and wx before departure Realize surface type (concrete) & elevation affect I-84 road conditions Realize road conditions in Boise and Mountain Home will probably be significantly better than between MM 60 & 80 Airman May have to drive significantly slower than posted speed limit Ensure Airmen know what to do if they encounter ice
