We stayed with my grandparents and went to school in the small town of Leola. We left on May 29. I found out that the flood waters never even entered our home. We were all thankful for that. The town was damaged to the tiniest detail. Then we saw people cleaning and working hard. The cleaning continued and life went on, but we will always remember the Red River that devastated our city.”
