E-Connectivity -- Social Connection in an Online
Classroom

Studies have been completed that identified the
  need for…
Achieving a social connection (e-connectivity) with
their students (Slagter van Tryon & Bishop, 2006)
Increasing interactivity that “will help the students'
with their understanding” (Swanson, Hutkin, Babb,
      & Howell, 2010, p. 121).
Warm, Friendly, Honest, and Caring

Participants 100% agreed that faculty should be
warm, available to answer questions; hold students
to a high standard, remain flexible to adult
learners; honest in all of their interactions, and
demonstrate a caring nature in the online
classroom” (Swanson, Hutkin, Babb, & Howell,
  2010, p. 119).

Students say… Instructor Specialists
I gain from this type of say…
feedback as I am a visual Providing this type of
learner. feedback is as though you
Hearing your voice helps are sitting with the student
me to understand the and guiding him or her
concept that you are through the paper. Great
  explaining. job!

                                  Anyone care
                                  to do a study
                                     on this?
