This document describes a study that developed a heart disease prediction system using neural networks and data mining techniques. The system was trained on a dataset of 573 patient records containing 13 medical parameters. Two additional parameters - obesity and smoking - were included to improve accuracy. A multilayer perceptron neural network with backpropagation algorithm was used. The network achieved nearly 100% accuracy in predicting heart disease based on the input parameters. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of neural networks for automated heart disease prediction using medical data.
