This study analyzed the effect of age on mobile phone usage behavior in India. It found that older users tended to make more and longer phone calls, while younger users utilized more texting, entertainment, and gaming features and made shorter calls. A survey of 200 mobile phone users found most were long-term customers of their provider rather than switchers. Statistical analysis revealed age significantly impacted usage frequency and duration, but not switching behavior. Specifically, older users made more frequent and longer calls, whereas younger users relied more on other phone features for shorter periods. The study provides insights into how age influences mobile usage patterns.
