【THE BOOK OF ENOCH Ch. 10】
“Then the Most High, the Great and Holy One,
spoke and sent Arsjalâljâr to the son of Lamech (who
was Noah), and said to him:
“ „Tell him in my name: “Hide thyself!” and
reveal to him the end which is to come. For the whole
earth will be destroyed, and the water of the deluge is
about to come over the whole earth, and what is upon
it will be destroyed.
“ „And now instruct him that he may escape and
his seed remain on the whole earth.‟
“And again the Lord spoke to Rufael (Raphael):
„Bind Azâzêl hand and foot, and put him in the
darkness; make an opening in the desert, which is in
Dudâêl, and put him there.
“ „And lay upon him rough and pointed rocks,
and cover him with darkness that he may remain
there forever, and cover his face that he may not see
the light!
“ „And on the great day of judgment he will be
cast into the fire.
“ „And heal the earth which the angels have
defiled, and announce the healing of the earth that I
will heal it, and that not all the sons of men shall be
destroyed through the mystery of all the things which
the watchers have spoken and have taught their sons.
“ „And the whole earth was defiled through the
example of the deeds of Azâzêl; to him ascribe all the
sins.‟
“And God said to Gabriel: „Go against the
bastards and those cast off and against the children of
fornication, and destroy the children of fornication
and the children of the watchers from among men;
lead them out, and let them loose that they may
destroy each other by murder; for their days shall not
long.

“ „And they will all supplicate thee, but their fathers will secure nothing for them,
although they expect an everlasting life, and that each one of them will live five hundred
years.‟
“ „And God said to Michael: „Announce to Semjâzâ and to the others who are with him,
who have bound themselves to women, to be destroyed with them in all their contamination.
“ „When all their sons shall have slain one another, and they shall have seen the
destruction of their beloved ones, bind them under the hills of the earth for seventy generations,
till the day of their judgment and their end, till the last judgment has been passed for all
eternity.
“ „And in those days they will be led to the abyss of fire, in torture and in prison they will
be locked for all eternity.
“ „And then he will burn, and be destroyed; they will be burned together from now on to
the end of all generations.
“ „And destroy all souls of lust and the children of the watchers, because they have
oppressed mankind.
“ „Destroy all oppression from the face of the earth, and all wicked deeds shall cease, and
the plant of justice and righteousness shall appear, and deeds will become a blessing: justice
and righteousness will be planted in joy forever……
……“ „And the earth will be cleansed of all corruption and all sin and all punishment and
all torment, and I will never again send a flood upon it, from generation to generation, to
eternity.‟ ” ENOCH 10:1-16, :22.
Lately, it is said that one year after the global financial crisis a new world order would merge.
September last year, the bankruptcy of investment bank Lehman Brothers triggered a global
financial panic and in several months the world governments attempted to stop it in various ways,
by paying down debts and saving money, with little effect. In the end, claiming that the system of
currencies and capital rules that binds the world economy is not working properly, and such a
system was largely responsible for the financial and economic crises, the United Nations (UN)
proposed that the present system which revolves around the dollar as the world‟s reserve currency
should be radically be reconsidered and the dollar replaced by a new global currency.
Today, the UN, World Trade Organization, International Criminal Court, UN police force, and
numerous UN NGO's and also other agencies are said to be in preliminary steps towards the
establishment of a one world government. The increasing terrorist threat and the Middle East
conflict is understood only to speed up the formation of this governing body because fear and
promises of better security make more people willing to give up their national sovereignty for
global governance. Desire of a united global entity seems to be becoming a current great trend.
The Bible tells many signs of the coming end of the age. Christ taught six signs in Matthew
ch.24: 1) The appearance of false prophets and false christs, which preludes the ultimate false
christ, “the antichrist”; 2) Wars not only in the Middle East but in nations, kingdoms and places
across the globe by the use of devastating weapons of mass destruction; 3) Famines in which a
large portion of the world‟s five billion people will suffer from a shortage of food, while the use
(or a plan of use) of GM food, genetically manipulated farm animals such as more milk
producing dairy cows, cloned animals as food, growth hormone genes-manipulated fish such as
super-salmon, and so on is increased to produce larger quantities of ever cheaper meat, milk, egg,
vegetables, fruits and grains; 4) Earthquakes, a staggering number of seismic events occurring
around the world daily; 5) Tribulations; 6) World-wide spread of the gospel, enabled by
developed technology on television, radio, mobile-phone, computer and travel means.
Godlessness and apostasy encouraged by false teaching and deceptions are other
characteristics of the end times. A strong trend of Christian Church today is ecumenicalism,
embracing the New Age interfaith agenda, and denying Christ as the only way to

salvation. Giving in to the politically oriented media and to a corrupt society, and putting value
on feelings of the individual human being, the church has embraced homosexuality as an
acceptable alternate lifestyle. The Church preaches tolerance and compromises with the world,
exchanging God's truth for the peace and survival in this world. The environmentalist movement
within the New Age movement undeniably lures Christians into psychological reasoning,
supernatural experience, a worship of mother earth, belief in past lives, reincarnation, and
spiritualism. It is increasingly obvious that the time of the Lord's second coming is drawing near
because many prophecies in the Bible are increasingly being fulfilled, at a faster pace than ever
before. The beginning of birth pains and the signs of the times should be taken seriously, and
hence, this should motivate us to reach out to as many souls as possible in the world as Christ
commissioned His disciples to go out to all nations, bringing the message of salvation through
Him.
Above all, the coming of great deception is the most important aspect of the end times. All
Christians should be well prepared not only to share the gospel with others, but also keep
themselves from falling into a trap of false teachings and false phenomena by the firm
understanding of prophecy through the study of the Word. We have already often examined the
present-day false teachings and so, this month we would like to turn our eyes to supernatural
phenomena happening around us today.
This summer the appearance of the unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in Cambridgeshire and
the latest crop circle in Knighton Hill, Oxfordshire (the largest maize formation ever in England)
on 29th
August were reported. In England, August is a peak month for the formation of crop circle
and more than ten have been reported within a month this year. Since appearing in the media in
the 1970s, crop circles have become the subject of various paranormal and beliefs, ranging from
the hypothesis that they are created by freak meteorological and atmospheric phenomena to the
belief that they represent messages from extraterrestrials. But for the time being they have
been dismissed by experts as being man-made hoaxes since some groups of people
claimed to have created them and actually demonstrated it. However, the fact that
designs of crop circles of late have become more and more complex, and increasing
reports of UFOs and other lights in the sky in connection with many crop-circle sites,
including some people’s claim to have seen images of UFOs forming crop circles or flying over
them, make it increasingly plausible that they are genuinely associated with UFOs and aliens.
UFO observers‟ claims indicate that what they saw were neither planes nor balloons because
there were no noise and no navigation lights and especially their movement was distinctive in
that their heading and height was relatively constant until they disappeared out of sight.
Recently, the appearance of such mysterious existence, UFOs and alien species has been
witnessed more frequently than before. While in secular world the existence of extraterrestrials,
i.e., intelligent life out there (ETIs), is believed, from a biblical perspective, so-called aliens are
nothing less than fallen angels and demons (unclean spirits). Scientists today are said to believe
the theoretical possibility that there are many other planets in the universe capable of supporting
life, using data generated from a computer model of the galaxy. According to the discovery of
more than 330 planets outside our solar system in recent years, some estimated that there are at
least 361 intelligent civilizations and possibly as many as 38,000. However, it should be noticed
that there are several major assumptions, based upon which the model was created, but none of
which have been proven to be factual: 1. Planet earth is not unique in the universe. 2. Life is
capable of spontaneously arising from non-living matter. 3. If life evolved on planet earth, then it
must have evolved elsewhere (http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/science/nature/7870562.stm).
Thus, although the idea of evolution and the existence of intelligent life on other planets are
all big lies, based upon mere assumptions, unfortunately man‟s mind have been deeply instilled
by it with the help of education, literature, films and television. Such compromised belief is in

fact becoming popular in the Church; with Christians claiming that God allowed evolution to
proceed, transforming an ape-like creature into Adam as a man, clearly denying the biblical
statement that God directly created Adam from dust. And yet, in the secular world, any
possibility that intelligent life on earth or elsewhere evolved by chance has been admitted to be
instantly dismissable. It is understood that even Nobel molecular biologist Jacques Monod gives
more than a dozen reasons why evolution could not occur though he simply refuses to accept
divine creation. Also somebody put it „This (mathematical impossibility) is well known to
geneticists and yet nobody seems to blow the whistle decisively on the theory…because of its
grip on the educational system.‟
Then why is such completely impossible theory still shown on TVs and favoured by literature
and education? The Bible declares there was no death before the first man, Adam‟s sin, so no
species could have gone through the dying process and evolve into higher beings. The Bible
clearly states the presence of intelligent life created before man. At the same time, it also declares
that the earth alone is the place where intelligent life can be accommodated. What is called
intelligent life prior man is „‫ִים‬‫ה‬‫ֱֹל‬‫א‬ָ‫ה‬ ‫ֵי‬‫נ‬ְּ‫ב‬, the sons of God‟ in Hebrews, i.e., angels. Where Satan,
who was the chief of the fallen angels, aimed to come to spread rebellion against God was
nothing else but this earth. He successfully tempted Adam and Eve into sin, and this is the
beginning of human history. Since then, the battle between God‟s faithful “watchers”, that is, His
obedient angels –Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel–, and Satan and his cohort has been raging.
The passage quoted from the Book of Enoch at the beginning illustrates what happened in te
heavenly realm shortly before the Noah‟s Flood. From this passage it is apparent that the Flood
took place as judgment upon the rebel angels, in which the whole earth and creatures on it except
Noah‟s eight family members and genetically incontaminated animals were completely destroyed.
Chapter 10 starts with the scene of the report of Azâzêl‟s rebellion against God by four
archangels, “seraphim” around the throne of God, represented by lion, calf, man and eagle as
depicted in Revelation 4:7. These watchers‟ report was immediately taken seriously by God and
God told Gabriel to bind Azâzêl by hand and foot to put him in the darkness with the other
wicked fallen angels for seventy generations. „Bind them under the hills of the earth for seventy
generations, till the day of their judgment and their end, till the last judgment has been passed
for all eternity.“And in those days they will be led to the abyss of fire, in torture and in prison
they will be locked for all eternity’ (Lines added) is an interesting prophecy of Enoch because
according to Luke‟s Gospel Jesus Christ was exactly the seventy-seventh generation from Adam.
These verses clearly predict the doom of those fallen angels by Christ.
In His first coming, immediately after Christ‟s death He went down to the dungeon to
proclaim His victory over spiritual enemies, sin, death, hell and Satan, where fallen angels had
been incarcerated since Noah‟s time as Peter depicted: ‘For Christ died for sins once for all, the
righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God…he went and preached to the spirits in
prison who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark
was being built’(1Peter3:18-20). Thus, after He disarmed the fallen angels, Christ made a public
display of them as Paul put it: ‘When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave
gifts to men’(Eph.4:8), and also, ‘having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a
public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross’(Col.2:15) in His ascension.
Biblical prophecy also tells of the doom of Satan and his followers at the Lord‟s second coming:
‘I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called
Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war…an angel coming down out of
heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the
dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him’ (Re.19:11-20:3). Accordingly,
until Christ‟s second coming, Satan will devise any means to deceive man to delay his capture.
