Creation of an SOA Critical Resources Visualization Panel over SCM
The process of Promise Date, in a make-to-order (MTO) production environment for verification of capacity for multi-level critical resources considering interdependencies between the various stages of production, results in a great challenge for planning and availability check systems.
This type of verification is supported by modules: SCM Supply Chain Management GATP and PPDS of SAP in functionality Capable-to-Promise. However, when you need a holistic analysis and real-time understanding or adjustment of the promise made, the planner needs to access several screens to make the decision. From this need was created an SOA prototype of a graphic display panel of consumption of resource capacity bottlenecks, consolidating five screens from three different systems (APO, BW and ECC) in a single panel.
Technologies used: SAP Enterprise Web Services, Web Services developed in ABAP, WebDynpro and Queries from the BW.
