2. Introduction
• In this piece of work, I will be looking at the
props and costumes I need for our production
to help me understand what I need to prepare
and find for the production stage of this piece.
3. Mobile phone
• We have a scene where the male lead character
and female character are distracted by their
mobile phones and social media (which we
learned was vital in our research) rather than
each other on their day out, so we will be using
an iPhone 5 as our prop to present this.
4. Handcuffs
• Handcuffs are used to present the metaphor
in our video and are placed between the two
characters, keeping them from parting. These
would normally be a pain to acquire but I have
a set of real ones at home, so this will not be a
costly job.
5. Ice Cream
• On the day of the shoot we will purchase an
ice cream for the characters to share during
the scene where they realise their respect for
one another. This is cheap and easy to
purchase as there are many shops and ice
cream vans especially on the pier.
6. Costume character 1
• The costumes needed for the male lead are
simple and basic. He is supposed to be
presented as a modern young adult wearing
typical clothing seen in high street fashion.
Here is what he will be wearing :
7. Costume character 2
• The female character will be wearing a similar
idea of what the male is wearing; a simple yet
modern outfit showing that they are just
normal people, wearing clothes relatable to
the audience. Here is what she will wear :
8. Conclusion
• To conclude, I have found that I now have a
concise understanding of the props we will
need and how the characters will be
presented and dressed during the production
of this piece, therefore helping me plan my
coursework effectively.
