Gonorrhea is a common and highly contagious sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It can cause painful urination in men and abnormal discharge or missed periods in women. Gonorrhea spreads through unprotected sexual contact and can be prevented through condom use or abstinence. While symptoms can be treated with antibiotics, carriers are still contagious and untreated gonorrhea can sometimes lead to more serious complications.

I also know that the bacterial types of STDs are not permanent but can still be very painful.
