STAPLES WALKER NAMED AT&T
DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS FOR CENTRAL OHIO
COLUMBUS, OH, FEB. 24, 2014 — AT&T* has announced the appointment of Nicole Staples Walker
as Director of External Affairs for central Ohio. She succeeds David Kandel, who retired at the end of
2013.
As Director of External Affairs for central Ohio, Staples Walker will work on the company’s local, state
and federal government relations. Staples Walker will also work closely with community and business
leaders, elected officials and others at AT&T to continue to bring advanced communications
technologies, including mobile 4G LTE and other broadband services, to consumers and businesses.
“I am excited about the opportunity to work with the residents and leaders in the Greater Columbus
area,” said Staples Walker. “At AT&T our work will focus on how we can continue to collaborate to
grow the economy and make Ohio an even better place to live and work,” she said.
“All of us at AT&T Ohio are proud to welcome Nicole to our team here in the Buckeye State,” said
Adam Grzybicki, President, AT&T Ohio. “Nicole is already an invaluable advocate for our company as
we work to educate stakeholders on our commitment to Ohio.”
Before joining AT&T Staples Walker worked for After-School All-Stars Ohio where she served as
director of communications, and was responsible for the development and implementation of all
external communication. She also has extensive experience in state and local government
communications and outreach.
