Nominating Committee SeekingVolunteers
The Chamber Nominating Committee is seeking volunteers for those
interested in serving on the 2014 Chamber Executive Team! We will
be having openings and are seeking individuals who would want to
take part in running the Chamber. If you are interested and want to
hear more about what’s involved, send an e-mail to

Chamber Office Seeking Part-Time Employee
With the Chamber growing, we are in need of hiring a part time em-
ployee. This person would be at the Chamber office for 8 hours a
week, or to cover for vacations, etc. as needed. This position will en-
tail performing basic office duties and assistance with running events.
If you or someone you know has professional experience and would

REVERSE RAFFLE TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE!
Our annual Reverse Raffle & Dinner held in conjunction with the US
Grant Homestead Association is set for Saturday, November 2, 2013, at
St. George Church, and the doors will open at 5:30. The tickets are
$30 and include dinner and a chance at cash prizes up to $1,000! The
format will be changing this year as well to make the event shorter,
but more action packed. We will have a lot of silent auction items up
for bid as well as some other special raffles and auctions happening
throughout the night. To buy your ticket, stop by the Chamber office
any weekday from 10AM-4PM! Tickets are limited, so don’t delay!

We are so excited to announce our "New
services" coming soon! We welcome Dana Seip a
Managing Esthetician and Nail Technician from
Mt. Orab. She has been currently working in a
upscale salon in Montgomery! She is excited to
work close to home and service clients and offer
them alittle of a city spa to Brown County! She
loves skin care and will be offering facials, mas-
sages, hot stones, make-up, body waxing, mani-
cures, pedicures, shellac, skin care classes and
much more! We hope to service you soon! We
are located in the Village Plaza by Subway

Join the Movement to End Texting and Driving
Drivers who read or send texts while behind the
wheel are more likely to cause crashes – too
often leading to injuries and deaths. To put an
end to texting and driving, AT&T launched the It
Can Wait campaign, which has been adopted by
many organizations throughout the country.
The It Can Wait movement recently went one step further with
“Drive 4 Pledges Day” on September 19, 2013. On this day, It Can
Wait advocates asked drivers to make a personal commitment not to
text and drive – and recruit others to do the same. It will take every-
body’s help to make texting and driving a thing of the past.
There are many easy ways to still get involved. Once you take the
pledge online, ask four other people to vow never to text and drive,
or simply share your pledge and what it means to you through your
social media channels. Here is a sample post:
