Senior Project Speech
Good Morning my name is Katherine Hernandez, and I chose Painting as my Senior
Project.
My Research: The Life of an Average Artist, Painting Styles, Public Views on Art,
Famous Artists, Such as; Romero Britto, Simon Bull, Alma Thomas, and Amanda
Dunbar.
MY Products:
Why I chose this: prior experience, once talented, passionate
I thought it would be fun, and laid back.
HOW I CREATED IT: Outlined in yellow, Listened to relaxing music, Drew out rough
sketches, Looked at a lot of other artist’s works.
Especially Britto. Romero Britto is a Brazilian Pop artist.
Famous for…. Popular in South Florida. Favorite Artist.
My other products: Name Signs. Inspired by Simon Bull
Project Facilitator: Tania, Art Teacher, Old Family Friend, took me to the Britto gallery.
Problems
I learned….
I will not pursue this as a career. Risks outweigh the rewards.
I plan to major in marketing, hopefully become a buyer. My dream is to be a buyer for
Saks, Macy’s, Barneys, or Bloomingdales.
Even though, I don’t plan on pursuing this as a career, overall I enjoyed myself. I think
that it’s a fun hobby.
Note: I did not write a actual speech because I knew my project enough for a speech not to be
necessary. This was used just as a guide.
