On 8th July we changed our name to Tinder Foundation (from Online Centres Foundation). People seem to love the new name but some people have asked me why did we change. Here's why.

Tinder foundation announcing our name change
1. What’s in a name?
Helen Milner - August 2013
Tinder Foundation
makes these good
things happen:
2. • On 8th July 2013 we changed our
name from Online Centres
Foundation to Tinder Foundation and
launched a new strategy
• The reaction from partners has been
great, but many have asked for an
explanation so here it is …..
3. Why change?
• We have an ambitious new three year
strategy
• We outgrew the Online Centres Foundation
name
• We are a staff owned mutual so we involved
the staff and chose the name together -
voting for it at our first AGM
4. A new name for a
new future
(not an old name about where we’ve been)
5. Why Tinder?
• We spark new ideas and innovation
• We ignite change at a local level
• We are able to take something small and
scale it up
6. Why a fingerprint on the logo?
• We’re all about people
• Working with our partners, our scale means
we have helped millions of people
…… and we care about each and every
one of them
7. Looking to the Future
• We make good things happen through
digital technology
• We still run the UK online centres network -
that’s the biggest of our four main products:
