Learning 2.0 Survey This survey report captures the findings from 62 different library iterations of the Learning 2.0: 23 Things self-discovery program.  The survey was conducted using surveymonkey.com, an online polling tool, in August 2008 through solicited invitations to known program coordinators.  The results are included in the next 10 slides. Note: Most of the slide background images are taken from actual photos shared on Flickr through CC.

Learning 2.0 Rules – Finance Staff gets their prize http://www.flickr.com/photos/8724138@N07/635493692/ Greater knowledge of emerging Web applications as well as developing necessary computer and internet skills. Staff feel like they know their co-workers better through reading each other's blogs.  Greater knowledge and appreciation of technologies out on the web, helped improve staff computer Several of the staff have used the knowledge to create wikis, podcasts, blogs, etc. for the library. Mostly, though, I think the staff enjoyed doing it and appreciated having the opportunity to learn while at work 1. Raising awareness of web 2.0 tools generally and the amount of 'discussion', 'images' etc. relating to the library that is in circulation courtesy of our community.  2. Exposure of staff to activities in organizations. 3. Development of a social media policy for our organization (currently in draft). 4. Consultation across the library on potential applications of web 2.0 tools to library activities (in progress) awakening to the need of Library 2.0 and the future of the Library  Team building was a huge (and unexpected outcome). We had one group that had to be encouraged to participate, but once they got started, they didn't stop and people who never talked to each other were suddenly talking.
