2. Digipak Day 1 – 6th December
Today I started on creating the
front cover of the Digipak.
After discussing with the group
we thought a good idea would
be to use one of the
photographs from the stop
motion we shot. The image on
the right is the one we chose
as I think it best reflects the
song to our music video and
what it is all about. Also the
composition and expression I
believe is extremely successful
here.
3. Digipak Day 1 – 6th December
To make this photograph stand out a
lot more I decided to retouch this on
Photoshop. I did this by first of all
adding brightness and contrast to the
photograph by using the level and
curve tool on this editing software. I
also used the paintbrush tool to
retouch his face and a few blemishes.
4. Digipak Day 1 – 6th December
I then started to add the text to the
image, this was the album name and
the name of the artist. We had
previously thought of the name ‘Cody
Banks’ for the artist and also came up
with the album name ‘Moments’. We
thought a good idea would be to put
the title on the heart in the
photograph. Firstly I went on to
DAFONT.COM and found a font that I
felt would work well called‘Bebas
Neue’ I added this to the heart
keeping the colour theme of black
and pink.
5. Digipak Day 1 – 6th December
We asked for feedback from peers and our teachers. One piece of
advice was to have the hearts (the one he’s holding and the ones in
the background) in colour and the rest in black and white. I did this
by duplicating the layer, changing it to black and white and erasing
this colour change on the hearts. This worked extremely well and
created a bold image with strong contrast.
6. Digipak Day 2 – 7th December
Today I started to make the digipack look more like a CD cover. I
decided to do this by editing the dimensions and also adding a ‘sticker’
to it that you tend to see on covers.
By changing the dimensions to 5x5 inches it cut of the two hearts at
the bottom, therefore I made these smaller so they fit in the
dimensions.
I also started to add the sticker that had the single on (song of the
music video) and also a made up song. I also added the text ‘bonus
DVD limited edtion’

8. Digipak Day 2 – 7th December
Today I started on the back of the
digipak. I looked at some more CD
covers and found a cover that I really
liked and influenced me to do
something similar. This was ‘I created
disco’ by Calvin Harris. I Liked the
layout of this and the two colours
used. I started to make the back cover
by creating a pink shape with black
numbers on it. Then on the black side
on the right we made up some names
of songs. This looked successful.
9. Digipak Day 2 – 7th December
We thought that it looked quite
plain, therefore I went on a few
websites that had free textures to
download for Photoshop. The two on
the right are the textures that I added
to the digipak. I added these and
changed the blending options which
created a grungy effect.

11. Digipak Day 2- 18th December
Today we focused on finishing the digipak. This was to do the
middle part of the digipak, and the two side photos.
We used one photograph from the
stop motion that we felt would suit
the brand identity in our digipak
and music video. This was a
photograph where Tommy was
making a love heart sign. I edited
this to get rid of the writing on the
chalk wall and also to retouch his
face. I then changed it to black and
white as this was similar to the
front.
12. Digipak Day 2- 18th December
• For the two sides to the
digipak we decided to again
focus on the word moments. I
print screened lots of shots
from the music video of the
couple that showed
memories. I then made this in
to a collage with looked really
successful. I also changed this
to black and white to match
the front cover and the middle
photograph in the digipak.
