Bhoomika Wools facilitates the wool acquisition
process solely for Jaipur Rugs.

Dyeing
All hanks of wool yarn were sent from Bikaner to Bhadohi (in the central
Indian state of Uttar Pradesh). the dyeing process takes an average of
two to three days.
Opening
Opening is the process of making spindles from the hanks of dyed
yarn. The yarn is transported daily from the dyeing centers to the
Jaipur Rugs headquarters to one of five opening centers.
Weaving Locations

After the yarn has been made into spindles, it is kept in storage at
the Jaipur Rugs office until it is transported (bundled in a bag with
the design map) to one of the 7500 looms across seven states in
north and west India. With very few exceptions, the artisans work in
their own villages, either in their own home or in a
neighboring home.

Finishing
After coming off the loom, all rugs are transported to one of
four finishing centers in Jaipur. At the finishing centers,
techniques are employed to fix mistakes and accentuate
highlights of the design






At present Jaipur rugs has businesses in more than 30
countries and touched a turnover of over 14 million $ in
2008-09.
USA is the major market of rugs where about 65% of
the sales are done.
Followed by Turkey, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Germany,
Australia, Russia, Spain, Romania etc.




Gujarat base private port are closer to the
industrial area of Rajasthan and Haryana.
Kandla (port in Gujrat) is the largest port by
volumes in India.
