4. staylor@canacad.ac.jp Grade 10 Intro Physics & Environment Physics Units Kinematics: Describing Motion Forces and Change in Motion Energy, Work and Power Electricity Atomic Science Environmental Science Units Ecosystems & Biomes - Populations & Diversity Atmospheric Science – Water & Air Pollution Stream Study HS Science classes aim to give students some experience of the subject in order to facilitate IB Diploma subject choices in Grade 10 and 11. Assessment MYP Science Criteria: - A: One World - B: Communication in Science - C: Knowledge & Understanding - D: Scientific Inquiry - E: Processing Data - F: Attitudes in Science “Sufficient Work” to qualify for semester credit in the Sciences is 80% of each type of task completed. Late work must be accompanied by a late work form. Each criteron is worth 6 points. Semester grades are given on a ‘best fit’ basis, in relation to student achievement.
