10. People who are under the age of 18 must have permission slips to let them be
filmed, this must be signed by their parents and themselves.
Using a child under the age of 16 (especially under the age of 10) needs their
parents of guardians on site at all times to make sure they are safe and secure
and the parents are happy to have their child shot in the way the studio would
like.
This is the Letter I would send to parents,
11. Dear Mrs/Mr…… ,
I am writing to you to ask if I can use your child in my Media Production, I am going to shoot a horror
film but I have thought about many ethical and legal procedures and have made sure I am doing
everything by the book.
I would like the express permission to film your child with your and their consent. I will need to shoot
them on ……… and ……. Days. I will make sure everything is done ethically and with your consent
before I shoot any pictures.
If they are under the age of 16 I would like you to come to the set so you can see how everything is done
and supervise your child as they are so long.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

12. I might need to use different images and music that another person has made or
used but to do that I need permission from that person(s) to be able to do that.
However the music etc. that I need to use has no copyright on it therefore
meaning I do not need their permission.
13. In my production people will be running around in school, it will not be in a
crowded place because they could bump into people or push people over which
could lead to more injuries.
It will be after hours at school to minimise people being in the way and the
person(s) running, with have to wear running shoes to minimise the risk of them
falling over.
I will make sure the ground is safe and clear of any leaves so people cannot trip up
over them.
14. I have a young child in my short film, I will make sure she is not portrayed in any
kind of bad way, such as edit her to make her look like a demon because it
wouldn’t be very right for the parents and people to who know her.
I will also make sure that I am allowed to film on the school site and have
permission to film the people in the film so that I have not illegally taken their
image without their and their parents concent.
15. The rules of the studio that make everything ethical and moral, we will ensure
that there will not anything unethical such as a young child doing drugs or any
kind of scene or picture that would upset or offend the viewers.
