    STATEMENT
WHAT IS A VISION STATEMENT?
 inspires, energises, defines a destination
 evokes emotion – is passionate
 describes the best outcome we can achieve – establishes a standard of excellence
 transcends the status quo
 says something about us, our organisation, our operating environment, our dream
 statement of purpose
 uses unequivocal language
 what we return to whenever we get confused about our goals / objectives
 is summarised with a powerful phrase
 helps build a picture, the same picture, in people's minds

A vision statement does not confuse vision with goals and objectives.
