2. Task.... Don't you find it anoying how your teachers won't let you go any site? Well why don't you find out how to tell the diference between good and bad sites. This will let you have more acsess to the internet and save you the long (not to say boring) trips to the library.

3. Good Websites Should Say.... 1) Is it clear who has written the information. 2) Are the aims of the site clear. 3) Does the site achieve it's aims. 4) Is the site relevant to me. (does it have the info i want) 5) Can the information be checked. 6) When was the site produced. 7) Is the information baised (one sided) in any way. 8) Does the site tell you about choices open to you.

4. How to evaluate a website.... Firstly check when the website was made and when the website was last updated. If the site was last updated around 5 years ago it probaly won't be very good. The website should say if they are qualified to produce the site and what qualifications this person has. Most good sites will have somthing so that you can contact the people who created the site (by phone or e-mail). This is so that you can tell them if something is not right. You also should be able to view the website for free and not have to download any software. It should have limited avertising otherwise half of the site are adverts so there won't be much info. 6. Hate Groups.... Hate groups are organized groups which publish bad things about websites. People often believe this information and then don't go to that website. It is their opinion that the website is bad, horrible and does not give good information or either they for some reason don't like the website. They hate the site for very stupid reasons such as religion or anything like that. Many organizations are tracking down them so that the internet will become safer and more reliable. 7. Conclusion.... As you can see, the internet can be an excellent and reliable place to get information from. There are many ways to check if you are in doubt over a website so therefore us (children) should be allowed to use the internet more.
