This document describes the creation of a 3D virtual model of an urban area using ArcGIS 3D Analyst and Java. The objectives were to create a 3D model, develop a standalone graphical user interface application, and host the application on the web. Data was collected and a 3D model was generated in ArcScene. An application was developed in Java to allow users to perform spatial queries and export the model and data. The final 3D model and application provide an interactive tool to visually analyze the urban area.
