Principal
sponsibilities
       Responsible for providing strategic direction and long-range planning for the deployment,
       integration and operation of technology in all aspects of the district’s instructional, business,
       and construction programs. Responsible for overall management and




       Assist with daily operation of technology department office and provide secretarial services
       to the Director of Technology and other staff.




       Installing, maintaining and supporting all of the district’s computer communication networks.
       Ensure the smooth operation of the communication networks in order to provide maximum
       performance and availability for the district’s users.




       To assist the Director of Communications in the district’s overall communications program
       through effective, professional communications with internal and external audiences and
       support the Communications Department’s day-to-day functions. Ensure that
       communication and public information activities contribute to the attainment of district goals
       and objectives. The Communications Specialist will perform and coordinate public relations
       and marketing activities as assigned.

       Supervise and direct the PC repair & maintenance for the district.

Perform installation, upgrades and troubleshooting to provide and maintain effective
telephone usage throughout the district.




Understand and be capable of answering user-directed questions on all NISD supported
technology including, but not limited to, Windows, MS Office, Word, Excel, Groupwise and
the functions of NISD-supported hardware and other end-user software.




Provide support in curriculum delivery, staff development, instructional resource selection,
and effective instructional strategies at the campus level. Act as the liaison between the
district and campuses to identify and solve instructional technology-r




Provide training and support to campus staff to facilitate the effective use of technology in
instructional programs, to include but not limited to, instructional planning, model teaching,
content development and training.




Resposible for evaluating the campus technology needs and making sure teachers are
implementing it in their curriculum. It is important for the principal to model technology to
set the example for the campus.
Goal: Within the next 3 years, Gene Pike Middle School will focus on moving from Developing Tech to Advanced Tech

  • 6. sponsibilities Responsible for providing strategic direction and long-range planning for the deployment, integration and operation of technology in all aspects of the district’s instructional, business, and construction programs. Resposible for evaluating the campus technology needs and making sure teachers are implementing it in their curriculum.
