1. John Cabot’slife( Giovanni Cabot) Cabot was born in Italy Genoa 1455. John became a merchant. John also became an expert Mariner or sailor.John wanted to be part of crossing the Atlantic Ocean. John knew that ships from Spain and Portugal have been sponsored by their kings. The Spain and Portugal kings wouldn’t sponsor John. So John went to England and asked the king if he could sponsor Cabot. After he was promoted, he found Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and the GrandBanks
