- A survey of sexual health services in UK secondary schools found that between a quarter and a third have on-site services, ranging from advice to contraception and STI testing. - The prevalence of on-site services varies significantly between different regions and local authorities. Some rural and urban areas have high concentrations while others have low. - Evidence suggests that improved access to contraception through on-site services can help reduce teenage pregnancy rates. However, establishing these services faces barriers around confidentiality, staffing, and funding.
