12. More Arguments from the Pro Death Penalty Supporters Many Americans believe that the death penalty provides closure for the victim’s family. Some believe that when the death penalty was halted, the crime rate made a dramatic increase. “Missing People,” if criminals didn’t fear the death penalty, how many of these children on fliers would the police find? Resolving these cases would allow closure for the family. It is justified in the Bible, many will argue that in numerous places in the Bible the death penalty is supported. For example, Genesis 9:5-6 “Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed.”
13. What are some of the Cons of Capital Punishment? Capital punishment is high in cost. According to the Death Penalty Information Center, some states spend millions of dollars more a year paying for a death penalty trial then if they were to pay for a non-death penalty trial. While many victim’s families argue that capital punishment gives them closure there are others who disagree. They feel as if they would be just as satisfied with “life imprisonment without parole.”

15. Theodore Robert Bundy Ted Bundy grew up not knowing that he oldest sister was in actuality, his mother. He was a serial killer who committed his crimes in the 1970s. He killed at least 30 people, but the actual number of deaths remains a mystery. He was a rapist and a necrophiliac. He worked for a suicide hotline. 16. Timothy McVeigh Also known as, “The Oklahoma City Bomber.” was a 33-year-old U.S Army Veteran. According to the FBI there were 168 deaths that day. Among those deaths 19 of them were children. McVeigh was executed on June 11, 2001, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
17. Richard Ramirez Commonly known as “The Night Stalker,” Richard Ramirez is responsible for at least 13 deaths. When he was 2, a dresser fell on his head and caused a contusion. By the age of 10, he was spending the night in cemeteries. The victims ranging in age from 6 to 83. He was found guilty of 13 counts of murder, 5 attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults, and 14 burglaries. He is currently awaiting his death sentence and since he was imprisoned, has gotten married.
