Leonardo Da Vinci was born in Vinci, Italy in 1452. He is famous for his paintings of The Last Supper, which he began work on in 1495, and the Mona Lisa, which he painted in 1507. Da Vinci died in France on May 2, 1519 at the age of 67 while in the service of King Francis I.
