 Final Year Project: Optimizing Data Mining Process Using GPUs .
Aim: Implementing Algorithms of Data Mining (Apriori and K-Nearest Neighbours)
 Data Mining and Machine Learning .
 Participated in UCSD Data Mining Contest 2010
 Successfully implemented Apriori Algorithm to generate frequent itemset for
shopping basket analysis in C# for a data containing about 90,000 transactions and 2000 items.

 Techpedia under IIMA (2008 to till date):
Worked in a team of 11 students to develop http://techpedia.sristi.org, A portal of
technology projects by students to link the needs of industry and grassroots innovators with
young minds and to promote collaborative research.

Robotic arm simulation, Data visualisation using 2D/3D graphs and some small 3D games.
Paper Presentations:
 Participated and won first prize in Quest’10, organised by ACM-NIT, Surat for presenting a paper
on “Employing GPUs for Machine Learning”
 Final Year Seminar : Data Mining And Visualization Tool (RapidMiner)
 Participated in Prakriti ‘08- Ignite08 contest and presented paper on “Alternative to Polythene”.
 Participated and Appreciated in innovation idea presentation contest during Mindbend ’08 in co
ordinance of NIF chapter of IIMA in NIT Surat, on my own project “E-Vaidya”, which uses the
application of online patient portal along with identity card (RFID) to ensure quick treatment in
case of emergencies.
Awards and Academic Achievements: .
 Secured All India Rank of 27,943 in AIEEE’07 out of 800,000 applicants and secured state rank of
532 in Karnataka in the same examination.
 Participated and Represented Regional Bal Bhavan in the “International Children’s Assembly
and Integration Camp 2003”(Earth Festival) held at National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi with theme
Earth.

 I am an Executive Editor of College Magazine ‘RENESA’ (‘08 to ‘11).
 I have served in Hostel Management Committee as an Environment Secretary (2007-08) ,as a
Sports Secretary (2008-09) and as a Joint-Hostel Secretary (2009-10)
 SPORTS:
o In my school days I represented my school, PU College and my taluk in district and state level.
o Now, representing our institute volleyball team for national level engineering college sports
tournaments.
o Participated in Intra college volleyball, cricket, Kabaddi and football. I have organized Intra-
Institute Kabaddi Tournament -2009 with a huge success.
