This document defines corporate social responsibility (CSR) and outlines its key objectives and areas. CSR is defined as the voluntary reporting of qualitative and quantitative information by companies regarding employee welfare, environmental protection, health and safety measures. The objectives of CSR are to influence stakeholders and maximize return on investment. The five main areas of CSR covered are: environment protection, employee-related initiatives, product safety and energy usage, research and development, and community projects.
