4. Lord my God, I have taken refuge
in you
Rescue and deliver me from all
those who are pursuing me.
Otherwise they will tear me apart
like a lion and rip me to pieces
And there will be no one to rescue
me.
O Lord my God, if I have done
things deserving of this
Or if my hands are guilty of such
wrongdoing
If I have rewarded friendship with
evil
Or have plundered my enemy
without just cause,
Then you should allow my
enemies to pursue me and
overtake me.

God who will sharpen the sword
And he will be the one to bend
and make ready his bow.
It is he who has prepared his
deadly weapons
And has made ready his flaming

The wicked conceive evil;
They are pregnant with trouble
And give birth to lies.
They dig their holes to trap others
But fall into it themselves.
The trouble they cause backfires
on them.
The violence they plan falls on
their own heads.
So I will give thanks to the Lord
because of his righteousness.
I will sing praises to the Lord most
high.
