24. Sustainable Silk Silk is hand woven in India using individual family weavers that we are directly supporting.Fabrics are made on hand made wooden looms - some of which are at least 100 years old. No electrical energy is used in the spinning, weaving or dyeing process, leaving a zero carbon foot print.
25. The Silk Dupioni is made on Hand Looms at a rate of 4 yards per day! They use Organic Neem as a fertilizer. Hand reared silkworms, hand spun and woven in the traditional method for millenniums.
26. It was discovered that the Neem Tree was the only living plant not devastated by the Sudanese Locust Plague, in 1957. They use the seeds and organic compost made from the Neem Tree to fertilize the Mulberry trees that are used to hand rear the Bombyx Morii silk worms. Also by using mostly natural dyes, they create a SUSTAINABLE silk product.
27. ORGANIC HEMP Grown Responsibly The fibers were grown by independent Romanian farmers in an area of the country that has, for many generations, depended on the growing of hemp. These small families use no pesticides, insecticides, fungicides or synthetic fertilizers.
31. Green Upholstery Fabrics: Upholstery Fabrics made of 100% recycled polyester. Recycled polyester is a unique blend of post-industrial and post-consumer fibers. These fabrics are woven and treated with no additional chemicals. During the finishing process, water based products and environmentally approved dyes are used.
32. Natural Latex Foam Natural Latex Foam is made from the rubber tree, (Hevea brasiliensis) and is the most durable cushioning material on the market today. Natural Latex Foams are also the perfect Sustainable choice. It is 100% free of any polyurethane polyols.
