1. Is Long Tail Keywords the Way to the Future of SEO
If you have ever hired an SEO for your website, you would have known the kind of cost estimation
that is made. One of the primary factors is the length of the keyword to rank for. A short two-three
word keyword costs much higher than long tail keywords. It is not difficult to fathom why. Long tail
keywords are searched much less, and hence have lesser competition on Google than short
keywords and hence while a few backlinks here and there can get you on top of a long tail keyword,
it is not so for short keywords.
All this can apparently change. With more than a decade of fiddling with Google's algorithm, the
present day SEO have taken us to a stage where most of the short and competitive keywords
almost always result in manipulated pages - so much so that the search engine visitors see what
the SEOs want them to see and not necessarily what they want to see.
So, the way forward? More and more people are getting frustrated with less accurate results for
short keywords so much so that they have intuitively started searching for more specific queries
