In consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in horse sport activities, I,
the undersigned, understand, acknowledge and accept that:
Horse sports are a dangerous recreational activity and horses can act in a sudden and
unpredictable (changeable) way, especially if frightened or hurt.
There is a significant risk that serious INJURY or DEATH may result from horse sport activities.
I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and I voluntarily
PARTICIPATE at my OWN RISK and assume sole responsibility for any injury, death or property
damage I may suffer that arises from my participation in horse sport activities.
I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any
mind altering drugs before and during the activities and I take full responsibility for any injury, loss
or damage associated with their consumption. I agree not to drink alcohol or take drugs prohibited
by law before or during any horse sports activities.
I agree to follow the directions of any event organiser or official and that any misconduct or
refusal by me to follow any direction of any organiser or official can result in the CANCELLATION
of my participation in the activities and my immediate removal from my horse NO MATTER where
that may occur. I understand that any such non-compliance may result in injury, death and/or
permanent disability as a result of my failure to comply.
I agree to wear a helmet at all times whilst participating in the sport where this is required under
the relevant EFA and FEI rules and regulations, and agree that I am solely responsible for
ensuring that whilst participating I wear a suitable helmet at all times where required under the
relevant EFA and FEI rules and regulations, and take sole responsibility for my actions.
I have had sufficient opportunity to read this assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its
terms and sign it freely and voluntarily.

5. ENTRY CONDITIONS

Conditions:
• 10% discount on all entries received (& paid for) by closing date
• 10% discount on entries for all MGSJC members as at 31st August, 2008
• The MGSJC does not accept any liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses,
owners, riders, grooms, officials, spectators, grounds or any other person or property whatsoever.
Horses and riders compete at their own risk.
• Horses must be currently registered with the EFA, all grading cards must be presented to the ground
jury on request. All Junior riders to be members of the EFA.
• All events are judges under FEI rules and regulations.
• The MGSJC have the right to alter or cancel a class or event, without notice.
• Junior riders from 12 years of age, may compete in Senior competition.
• Any protest must be lodged in writing within 20 minutes and accompanied by $30 – non-refundable
unless the protest is upheld.
• Prizemoney will be posted within one week of the conclusion of the Show.
• No HC entries accepted.
• Administration Fee includes 1 copy of “Draw” available for collection from Secretary’s Office
• Refund Policy:
o Administration Fee – non refundable
o Entry and camping fees will be refund on scratching up until the commencement of the Show
o Entry fees from scratchings during the Show may be applied to alternate entries during this show only
(will not be carried over)
o Scratchings accompanied by a Vet Certificate or Medical Certificate will be refunded

First fence an ascending oxer. Jump off to encourage good jumping
At least 2 fences 1.15m. and reward training and not reckless
All spreads at least 20% wider that the speed.
Bonus $500 to winner of each class
height.
Two spreads maximum height of 1.10m if no penalty points incurred.
No triple bar obstacles. Each class must have a minimum of

Horse Accommodation:
The football grounds next to the Velodrome will be used to accommodate horses.
Build your own yards. Maximum size 5m x 5m.
Stable accommodation at the Showgrounds, bookings to be made directly with the Show Society – Ph 08
8725 1873.
Feed supplies delivered to the Velodrome – The Produce Store – 08 8725 0377
Accommodation:
Power for caravans, shower and toilet facilities available. No booking necessary. Camping fee - $30
per vehicle for Carnival.
