9. This incident made his mother buy him another After that, he locked himself in the train toilet and he got stuck. The ladies panicked. The conductor helped him out. Instead of being punished, the boy got a bar of chocolate for his suffering. The worst thing that he did was that he pushed the button which stopped the train. That delayed the arrival of the train at Bucharest. When the conductor checked who was guilty for stopping the train, Goe remained unpunished again because he pretended sleeping in his grandmother’s arms. Eventually, Goe and the ladies arrived at Bucharest, beginning their “journey” through the capital. MR. GOE Goe was a ten-year-old boy. He was spoiled, rude and he also had low grades at school. Goe’s mother, grandmother and Mrs. Mita decided to take Goe to the capital – Bucharest – hoping that the trip would help him make it to the next grade. While they were nervously waiting for the train, they argued about the pronunciation of the word “sailor”. Eventually the train arrived and they found their places with the help of some kind teenagers. Meanwhile, Goe was rude towards a man calling him: “Hey, you, ugly man!” Throughout the journey the boy kept on behaving inadequately; he put his head out of the window and as a consequence he lost his hat along with the train ticket.

An urban writer, Caragiale recalls life in Bucharest, the society saloons, the balls, the beer saloons, the clerks' offices, the crowd in the street, the tricks on April 1 st etc. His sketches can be grouped like this: family life, school, press, the office worker, high-life etc. Caragiale is our first realistic writer. He is the creator of human types and life scenes by which his work becomes a real human comedy , an artistic document of the manners of an epoch. Starting from Romanian realities, creating original scenes and types, Caragiale came to a universal artistic value. I.L.Caragiale was born on January 30, 1852 in Haimanale village, Prahova county, the son of Luca and Ecaterina Caragial e . Today the village is named after the great play writer.
