Business Meeting Welcome Long and Foster Woodbridge/ Prince William Parkway March 9, 2010
Top questions in the last week…
How does having a new broker affect me and my current business? ,[object Object]
I expect things to continue functioning normally with zero disruption. ,[object Object],[object Object]
Will there be many changes in the office? Maybe and maybe not… ,[object Object],[object Object]
If it can be improved, I’ll do my best to improve it.,[object Object]
If it can be improved, I’ll do my best to improve it.KEEP IN MIND: ,[object Object],end we all have the same goal: To successfully list and sell real estate! REMEMBER: Change can be good…
What is your overall plan for the office? MISSION STATEMENT: To have a full office of agents with the common goal and reputation of being the most positive, professional and productive group in our market place.
BUSINESS MEETINGS: Top Five reasons not to attend: They start too early. They go on and on and on and on. Too many complaints that do not relate to me. Too much negativity in the room. I have more important things to do.
BUSINESS MEETING COMMITMENT: Meetings will occur on the first Tuesday of each month after the 7th. THE RULES OF THE MEETINGS ARE SIMPLE: Meetings will start on time – 10:00am and will last one hour and 15 minutes maximum.
Meetings will be to inform, share successes, recognize accomplishments and to allow our partners to update you on current events in the industry. Sales meetings: ,[object Object]
Will not be a negative experience.
Will not be the time to bring up personal issues that are not related to the professional side of our business.
Having said that… On your chair each month there will be a form with two questions: What did you love most about the office this past month? And What is your number one complaint about the office this past month?
These forms should be completed and turned in at the end of each meeting. Notice there is a not a spot for your name. Putting your name on the form is optional. You have one shot at each question so you need to figure out the one answer that fits or is most important to you. Any form that has more than one answer to each question will not be addressed. Most likely if it is on your mind, it is also on someone else’s mind. Thus, I will address all questions/comments and concerns in an email that will be sent out to everyone in the office.
Except under special circumstances…business meetings will be held once per month. All other events during the month will be educational, networking or social.
COMMUNICATION: Only in very rare circumstances will I send a broadcast voice mail. Updates, important information and general communication will be via email or video messages to email.
If you are on facebook please “friend” me: George.Lyons@longandfoster.com
Over the next few weeks I will be putting up an office fan page and will be inviting all of the agents in the office to join. If you are not on facebook, please join today.
                       Special ANNOUNCEMENTS
A HUGE thank you to Pat and Olthea who have been instrumental in making the management transition pain free for both Nick and myself. APPLAUD NOW…
Date and time to be announced… Volunteers needed…. Sometime in the next month or so we will have a pot luck luncheon at the office to help Nick celebrate his retirement and to properly thank him for his many years of service to us and to Long and Foster. If you would like to help plan this event please sign up with Pat or Olthea.
TELEPHONE CALLS FOR NICK: Any personal calls, congratulatory calls, etc. that come in for Nick should be directed to him. It is ok to give out his cell phone number. Make sure the call is for Nick (as opposed to a management call.) Explain that Nick has retired…please be specific with the caller. What not to say! ,[object Object]
Nick is no longer with us.,[object Object]
