• Overall administration of security services.
• Compiling of submissions, reports, memos, project plans and emails.
• Ensure compliance to MISS document and other relevant legislations.
• Conduct security awareness to the entire staff members during induction
• Compile security awareness circulars.

Electronic Access Control and Surveillance Security at the National Empowerment
Fund
• Take charge of all security systems and effective maintenance thereof.
• Conduct Physical Security assessment/ evaluate security measures.
• Advise management on Physical Security issues.
• Liaise with NIA/SAPS/Metro Police and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct preliminary security breach investigation and hand over report to HR for
possible action based on recommendation.
• Identify security-training needs for security personnel.
• Management of Contracted / outsourced security company
• Ensure maintenance of security equipment.
• Ensuring proper administration of vetting application and give feedback.
• Draft quarterly action plan, business plan for the unit.
• Visit security personnel during weekends and after hours.
• Oversee compliance to Occupational Health and safety of the Department.
• Advise on the reporting of injury on duty cases. (COIDA).
• Participate and Chair the occupational Health and Safety committee meetings.
• Assist in investigation of cases (Theft, and other security related cases).
• Draft / Develop, update and implementation of security policy, Occupational Health
and Safety Policy, emergency reaction plan and procedural security manual.
• With the assistance of Legal Unit draft and implement Service Level Agreement (SLA)
for contracted security company.
• Draft and implement evacuation drill plan and procedures.
• Attend to Security complaints, meetings, and report security breaches and register
such breaches on the fraud/ security breach register.
• Draft duty roosters or monthly schedule for security personnel of the department.
• Record keeping of confidential/ classified documents.
• Reacts to emergency 24/7.
• Assist in administering assets insurances for the National Empowerment Fund.
• Manage NEF vehicles; VIP drivers and executive driver.
• Draft their schedule and Monitor usage of vehicles.
• Ensure maintenance of NEF vehicle.

I have been proven to adapt very quickly and cope with new situation and additionally ready to
face new challenges that may arise.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Presently, I am Head of Physical security (Security Manager). Since my appointment I coordinate
awareness campaign and staff attitude changed drastically, theft of state property was reduced
drastically to zero. Ensure that Access Control as per Control of access to public premises and
vehicle act, 1985 (Act 53 of 1985) is properly and consistently implement.
My duties includes but not limited to: Administration duties, contract management, insurance
administration, reports writing , memo’s and submission writing, investigation of security related
cases, managing physical security matters including contract management, coordinating Event
management with regard to safe guarding of VIP’s and control access to the event location.
Developed security policy, evacuation drill plan and implement and evaluate the implementation.
Ensure proper key control measure is in place as per MISS document. Conduct Key control Audit
quarterly. and coordination and implementation of occupational health and safety act. And
Conduct Security Audit as when is necessary to enhance security policy review.
EXPERIENCE
I have 20 years security experience and I went through several security ranks, from security
officer to Control Security Officer. 10 years of the 20 years in the public service. I have been in the
Management level for almost 10 years. I regard myself as a leader and hard worker because of
my successes, track record and understanding of security field in the public service and contract
Management. I am also able to work independently and under pressure. I am also good organizer
in terms of security related work.
