1. Photo shoot
These are the photos I took of the two models I used for
the magazine. I’ll be describing what’s good and bad
about them.

2. Tom’s Photos
This was the first model. I told him to
wear kind of rough-ish and indie
clothing and for them to be the typical
music magazine colours – white, red
and black. The facial expressions are
mostly serious and hard, apart from
one where he is smiling. I decided to
use a guitar to show the audience
exactly what the magazine is about
and to grab their attention.

3. Jules’ Photos
This is my second model. Notably a
female, which for a rock magazine is
not completely common. However, it
still happens and I chose to use the
guitar again for this one to grab the
audiences attention. The colours of
the clothes don’t exactly follow the
classic music magazine colours, which
makes this quite qwerky – which the
magazine could potentially edge
towards.

4. Which model do I go for?
I’m going to go for Tom purely because his clothing follows the
classic music magazine colours so well, and clearly states to
potential customers that it’s a rock/indie magazine straight away
The problem with Jules is that it’s not obvious enough to the
audience what the magazine is about, or the genre of it because
of the clothing and facial expressions
