business combining rigorous academic theory and practical application.
The programme focuses on strong career and professional development increasing the career
options for the pursuant. Although it is a distance learning course, students will get networking
opportunities thanks to an online platform provided by the School of Management. It allows
students to closely interact among themselves as well as with instructors.
The programme consists of three stages, the first of which constitutes the subjects: Foundations of
Knowledge and Professional Skills; Organisational Analysis; The Business Environment; Principles
and Practices of Marketing; and Accountability, Representation and Control. Stage Two includes:
Critical Perspectives on Management; and Management in a Global Context. Thereafter students
need to pick two electives from an extensive selection. Stage Three comprises Research Methods
and the dissertation.

Performance Measurement: Quantitative Approaches; Public Finance; and Strategic Financial
Management. Management and Marketing electives are: Alternative Economies: Branding and

Management for Information Technology; Strategic Human Resource Management; Total Quality
Management and many more.
Students who wish to leave the programme after completing Stage One may gain a Postgraduate
Certificate in Management. Getting through Stage One and Two, they earn a Postgraduate
Diploma in Management. These are postgraduate qualifications in their own right.
