Enable Your Qi to Flow Freely. Qigong Corrects Imbalances and Eliminates Blockages
Some acupuncturist professionals have been trained in Qigong, a Chinese art of healing. Qigong is a
type of exercise that has been proven to promote a healthy body and lifestyle. Other TCM branches
include herbal medicine, tui na massage, and the more commonly known acupuncture. The purpose
of Qigong is to cultivate a patient's life energy and improve its ability to heal. Sometimes referred to
as Chi gung chee-gung, this practice involves rhythmic breathing along with movement. The
technique focuses on posing the patient in various positions and repeating certain movements that
are meant to promote the flow of the person's Qi or life force.
Individuals who utilize this technique achieve a peaceful state of meditation that benefits the spirit,
body, and mind. Influenced, in part by by the fields of medicine, martial arts and philosophy, this
form of beneficial exercise, is said to have a super healing effect on the body. Our bodies are
surrounded by electromagnetic energy which can easily be disturbed by the hectic environment of
the typical person's modern life. This can lead to the inhibition of the Qi.

Also blocking the Qi are conditions like injury, lack of healthy nutrition, suppressing our emotional
reactions, or just aging. Promoting a healthy flow of Qi leads to better regulation of all organs,
improved functioning of the immune system, as well as increased health of the nervous system.
Traditional Chinese medicine is coming into its own, all across the world. The practice has given
relief to those who are experiencing side effects due to chemotherapy and cancer radiation
treatments. Patients who are suffering from MS, cerebral palsy, strokes, and Parkinson's Disease
have also experienced relief from their symptoms. The most benefit is reaped by those who have
issues such as chronic pain, respiratory conditions, digestive problems, as well as issues with the
cardiovascular and nervous system.
There are a number of licensed acupuncturists who are also certified in Chinese healing treatments
and practices, including herbology, cupping, moxibustion and others. In order to promote the flow of
gi, Chinese medicine stresses the importance of maintaining balance between the yin and yang. For
thousands of years, Chinese medicine has succeeded in healing both the mind and body of patients.
