    to make a choice?

   Would it be wrong to say“Be realistic,

What is one to do in difficult
situations?
Can one get death certificates,
 paying no grease money?

Can  one buy or sell property
 without giving baksheesh for
 registration?
Is the purpose of education
  To teach our children to hold their
   head high or
         Teach how to live with shame,
          accepting that this is the way?

  Teach the importance of privilege,
   the need to clamber over fellow
   citizens or
         The possibility of living a life of
                         egality with all...
education
   Should one encourage children to
    dream, when all they need to do is “fit
    in” ?

        the heady wine of Pragmatism is

    School - non competitive
    Coach - “You need aggressive
     competition, otherwise you will lack
     edge!”
    What do you say as parent?
                            in school one thing
                                outside another
                      That is how it always is..
Case study 2
  One way street - just 100 m. If I take it in
  the morning 10 mins to school. If not 25
  mins. Child says “everyone goes this way.
  Please take the shortcut. I don’t want to
  be late to school! Please take the one
  way.”

             What does one say as a parent?
Case study 3
  Project submission in school. Child has not
  prepared despite having ample time. Asks
  parents for a leave letter to stay at home.
  Says “It is not a big crime. Give me a day
  and I will do an excellent project.”

             What does one say as a parent?
Our only hope......

        The compassion and
innocence of our children are
               our big hope!
