2. All about the zoo This special zoo has about 1100 animals and 200 species ranging from ancient turtles to awesome lions. It has special programs for kids like camp and a playground. About 700,000 visitors come a year
3. Solar Power All of the zoo runs on solar power! The lights the pumps ATMs pop corn poppers, cotton candy twisters and stuff like that. They have solar panels about the height of you and your classmates combined and some!
4. Geyser at the zoo! This geyser is called the prairie geyser this geyser has five spouts. Four geysers are small and erupt constantly they spray 5-8 feet while the main spout will burst 20-40 feet about every five min. It’s caused by water falling into the earth and the water meets hot rocks causing it to erupt.
5. Feeding time!!! Did you know alligators don’t eat during the winter. May 1st Aug. 30th our alligators are feed at 10:00 A.M on Sun. & Wed. only. The produces takes about 15 min. On Sat. , Sun. & holidays at 3:30 P.M. go to the vampire bats for feeding and a keeper talk.
