few people are aware of and therefore has led to the stagnancy in the growth of the country itself. Very few
people have the right amount of knowledge about various ngo schemes that are managed by the central
government. These organizations have become this SHG voice that raises its voice for the people till they
are heard by the proper authorities.
The encounter of the Montessori method of education that I had a few years back that has grown out of an
article written by me as a specific part of “Resurgent India” series a few years back. I visited the
Ramacharan trust in Chennai, which was a local NGO that implemented the Montessori method in the
corporation schools in the region. I also visited some traditional schools and some Montessori schools in
Saidapet and was star struck with the difference in the methods of education.
How NGO provide Tribal Education in India
NGO stands for Non-Governmental Organization. This was the face and base of development in the country
for the entire last century. These organizations worked for stabilizing communities in crisis periods, for
women and child education, and also side by side provide technical and financial support for different
developmental projects. There are various indian ngo that work for elderly people and see to their comfort.
An ngo in india works more effectively than the government running the country in some parts. In the area
of child education ngo india has been doing an outstanding work. With the increasing number of ngo india
has been making progress in all the above mentioned fields.
Across the whole world there are such numerous organizations that are working to invent new food stuff
and a variety of services that has revolutionized the modern world by catering to the needs of the poor while
being commercially viable business. But this does not threaten the big multinational firms as their brand
names and marketing and distribution infrastructure can penetrate the market with ease. Policies on
poverty alleviation can be easily taken up by the developing states. The social entrepreneurs cab play vital
role in this. This type of a mechanism in place to identify innovation that can work with the on ground
projects can help with the development and upliftment of communities. For example the one computer per
children idea. A product was there but a market was necessary so for the sake of activating the markets
many countries like Nigeria a million of these computers. This volume of production if implemented all over
would have helped to abridge the production cost. The pilot project for example showed and proved the fact
that if children are provided with computer there would have been a change in the attitude for education, an
interest in the field of science and technology would have been aroused easily.
