La contabilidad ágil es un innovador método de obtener datos, para
convertirlos en información y conocimientos valiosos; y, a partir de
éstos, generar indicadores que apoyen el plan estratégico de la
compañía y comprender la dinámica de los costos e indicadores
claves de la misma.
Lean Accounting nos permite comprender de forma simple dónde
están los costos y dónde está el valor.

2. SAN DIEGO TEAM
The San Diego LSSI team was formed in the summer of 2012 as
three individuals. Currently the San Diego LSSI team has grown
to 8 team members.
In October 2012, we were contracted to provide lean classroom
and implementation training to our first client, Apollo Sprayers,
Inc. Apollo Sprayers Inc., headquartered in Vista, California, USA,
is a 46 year established manufacturer of highly innovative Low
Overspray HVLP products for spray finishing..
At project start, Apollo Sprayers Inc., lacked the capacity to meet
their growing demand. They struggled with long 15-day lead times and poor quality control methods. They
manufactured using a linear approach, lacked standard operating procedures and did not have an effective system for
tracking their costs. Apollo Sprayers’ employees were not cross trained and in most instances, individual employees
were solely knowledgeable on the processes of critical assembly operations.
After six months of Lean training, Apollo Sprayers extended their project for an additional six months to deploy a more
extensive employee talent development system that included documenting standard work instructions for all processes
and recording these processes on video. As a result of these efforts, Apollo Sprayers is a more productive and efficient
company and have a highly motivated, crossed-trained, knowledgeable and skilled workforce. As a result, Apollo
Sprayers is substantially more profitable and stable.
After observing LSSI and Apollo Sprayers progress, CMTC, a 20-year established non-profit consulting company that
offers Lean training services to small manufacturing companies paid for by the State of California Employment Training
Panel (ETP), hired LSSI in San Diego as their ongoing subcontractor to provide Lean training and implementation
services to CMTC clients. LSSI completed its first small but successful initial diagnostic project for a CMTC client in
October 2013.
The San Diego branch of LSSI has recently partnered with Southwestern College, a California State Community College
with three campuses located throughout South San Diego County. LSSI and Southwestern College have scheduled Lean
Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt classes to train Southwestern College continuing education students
beginning February 2, 2013, and LSSI plans to expand this model to deploy training to students throughout the
California State Community College District; the largest college system in the State of California.
In other news, LSSI in San Diego recently signed an agreement to begin a five month Lean training and implementation
project with a major provider of customs brokerage, supply chain logistics and freight forwarding services and products
in Laredo Texas. LSSI is particularly excited about this project because one of this company’s key clients is Toyota,
whose senior executives have been briefed on the LSSI training scheduled to begin in December 2012.
What is on the horizon? LSSI in San Diego is currently undergoing meetings with a major medical management
organization that offers a full range of services to assist physicians and other providers in their managed care and
business operations, and currently over 500 doctors’ offices receive their services. This organization is seeking LSSI to
initially implement a Lean pilot project for several small doctors’ offices with plans to expand and provide training to
over 150 doctors’ offices.

Sigma en los procesos de ahorro de energía.
