                    FUNDAÇÃO FÓRMULA CULTURAL



                              A non-profit foundation with cultural purposes, established in July, 1994 and
                              acknowledged as being of federal public interest by the Administrative Regulation
                              Nº 1788 dated 09/16/2008 published in the Union Official Gazette on 09/17/2008
                              with the purpose of developing special projects for cultural activities propagation,
                              social interaction and access to the much diverse forms of knowledge, information
                              and enhancement of the Brazilian people cultural and artistic levels. FFC’s –
                              Fórmula Cultural Foundation – directing founders are companies and
                              professionals from the communication area aiming to prepare projects and
                              special actions to capture resources from investment funds and public and private
                              entities, domestic and foreign companies, in order to allow interaction of culture,
                              work, knowledge and life quality




                              Instituted by companies and professionals from several areas of Communication,
                              among which are the publicity agencies, video producers, broadcast and
                              journalism companies it has gathered, through their information, top know-how and
                              determination to accomplish its corporate purpose. Besides its founders, the
                              Boards of Directors and Administrators has had the participation of the most
                              respectable professionals and executives in the Brazilian market, representing, in
                              their roles, companies like: Banco América do Sul (extinguished and incorporated),
                              Salles Interamericana (same), Eastman Kodak, Citizen, Ajinomoto, Panasonic, and
                              others, besides Kazuo Wakabayashi, a well-known painter and several other
                              representatives of the Brazilian society community.

     MISSION

     FCC- Fundação Fórmula Cultural (Cultural Equation Foundation) was created with the mission of fostering
     culture in the most diverse and expressive means of manifestation:




Access to artistic knowledge and information, through social insertion of the Brazilian population is one of
the entity’s targets, developing special projects in the cultural environment.
Professional and human development, respecting social, cultural and ethnical differences is also part of the
Foundation’s philosophy, which explores the human wealth provided by the uniqueness of usages,
costumes and beliefs.
Social unit and environmental awareness feeling strengthen the thoughts of Formula Cultural Foundation,
valorizing the major transformation agent in the world: the human being.




 SOCIAL PURPOSES

          The foundation has as an objective the development of culture and information, education and
          professional improvement, environmental preservation, sustainability, technology, sports, and well being,
          especially in:
 •        Organization of regular courses in the areas of cinema, videos, essays, editing and special effects,
          shooting in studios and outdoor, sound, journalism, editing, web design and IT, and other regular courses
          to coach and graduate individuals in specific areas in which the entity works in

 •        Publication of books, magazines, flyers, newspapers, sites and other ways that advertise the activities or
          contributions that interests the associations’ objective

 •        Promote an interchange with cultural institutions of search, environmental preservation, sports, and
          national and international development by means of agreements that makes exhibitions possible, reunions,
          seminaries and training of artistic profiles, literary, of information and professional qualification

 •        Stimulate and promote exhibitions, shows, conferences, debates, fairs, cinematic projections through the
          production of videos, films, documentaries, projects in CD, DVD, Bluray or any other type of media, in
          addition to festivals, popular events, and other activities together with cultural and artistic development,
          informative, technological, sportive, and environmental allowing an opportunity for ideas, cultural elements,
          traditions, and social habits of the community with the objective of stimulating leisure, culture, and social
          existing

 •        Stimulate and participate in programs or projects that has as an objective the transfer of advanced
          technology to the country in the production of audio video, special effects, and sustainability related to the
          environment and its’ preservation

                             •       Elaborate projects of environmental education in a way to promote
                                     conservation actions, the recuperation of degraded areas in the rural and urban
                                     environment, sustainable use of natural resources, that’s ecologically and
                                     socially just, as well as the protection of the physical identity, social and cultural
                                     urban grouping with own resources or coming from agreements or other
                                     juridical possible forms

                             •       Stimulate cultural activities, of sports and education, with the objective of
                                     making conscious of the necessity to preserve small communities and their
                                     respective culture, including their respect and different forms of environmental
                                     existence

                             •       Promote the defense of goods and social rights, collective or diffused related to
                                     the environment, cultural property, and human rights

                             The Formula Cultural Foundation may work as well as in the following activities:

                             •       Creation of schools and educational centers of all grades

                             •       Develop laboratories for research, with the objective of stimulating the
                                     production of new jobs in the cinematographic market and others, with the
                                     consequence of building studios for it

                             •       Planning and constructing hotels for the members of the foundation or guests

                             •       Management and vigilance of ecosystems in its’ property and other areas for
                                     environmental conservation

                             •       Import equipments, accessories, software, and know-how necessary for the
                                     transfer of advanced technology related to its’ social objective, well as
                                     electronic equipments, clean energy generating system, water purification
                                     treatment system, and others

                             •       Incentive to the cooperative system of the local population generating and
                                     sharing the knowledge related to the conservation and management of the
                                     region

                             •       Offer services of technical consulting and production in the audio-visual area,
                                     internet, culture, information, education, environment, technology or any other
                                     area of knowledge for the self existence, maintenance, and execution of
                                     projects

PROJECTS
                             CITIZEN ECO DRIVE AND WWF

                             Project in cooperation with WWF, sponsored by Citizen do Brazil. Part of the sales of the
                             Eco-Drive model watch, manufactured with a non-environmentally aggressive technology,
                             was donated to WWF, an entity dedicated to the environment and endangered animals
                             protection.

                             CLUBE DO PORQUÊ

                             Project developed in cooperation with Radio Educadora de Campinas. A Radio
                             Program then sponsored by Yakult, aimed for the children-youth audience with the
                             participation of the fundamental school aged audience with live questions to specialized
                             professionals.
                             Initially expected to last for 3 months, the project was extended to 12 months due to
                             large participation of the audience.

                             DVD KARAOKÊ – DIGIOKÊ

                             Production of the first national range of DVDs software with a karaoke system in 1999
                             which, at the time when Digital Video Disc was launched, the market was supplied only
                             by foreign films and music shows. The series was formed by repertoires of MPB,
                             children’s songs and traditional carnival marches for disclosure of Brazilian pop music.


                             AMAZONAS SIMBIOSE

                             Project prominent for the investment in environmental research and preservation.
                             Development based on cultural projects for education and awareness of the national
                             and international communities, together with state and federal research institutes in
                             2004, in this case with IPAAM – Instituto de Proteção Ambiental do Amazonas
                             (Amazonas Environmental Protection Institute). Sponsored by a private company from
                             the photographic field for the preservation of the Galo da Serra species, considered as
                             one of the most beautiful birds of the Amazonian fauna. We have a lot to learn from our
                             fauna and flora.


                             WEB CONTENTS - CONTENT FOR WEBSITE/ DIGITAL MAGAZINE

                             Project focused on the coordination and production of digital content for websites as well
                             as their update. Through the communication professionals roll in Brazil and abroad, the
                             concept aims to disseminate the most delicate information of the Brazilian economic
                             activity routine, enriching and clearing the population daily life. Always with a simple
                             language and adjusted to each project, allows special focusing to the current
                             institutional websites transforming them into curious sources and information sources
                             besides entertainment, culture, study and research for many people eager for knowledge.
                             Web Magazine Pioneer – automotive project. History of the automobile, World Rock Day,
                             Technological evolution of the auto-radios, interviews with celebrities of the Brazilian
                             music and many other information are part of one of the projects that explain the concept.

                             NEWS NETWORK

                             A project constituted in a data bank with more than 3 thousand professionals in the
                             communication areas: journalists, reporters, writers, translators, journalistic
                             photographers, web designers, illustrators, script writers, cultural producers, and many
                             others.
                             Professional collaborators in all 26 states of Brazil are prompt ellaborate or collect any
                             necessary information for our’ projects.

PROJECTS

                           HIGH DEFINITION STUDIO

                           The High Definition Studio project, or simply HD studio, provides the next generation of
                           image quality in capturing and finishing of audio-visual works in the HD system.
                           With eyes on the media convergences, the structure aims to produce programs in the
                           new system, compatible with TV broadcasters’ tendencies, player devices and big
                           screens (LCD and Plasma) of the electronic industry and movie theaters.

                           Image Capturing
                           The tested equipments in the Brazilian National Parks’ project prove the high fidelity of
                           the colors and contrasts present in nature. The cameras’ resources allied to the lenses’
                           sensibility forms a set that provides scenes and effects of extreme richness of the audio-
                           visual project, with quality and similarity of the resources found only in cinema.

                           Finishing
                           The studio for the completion provides all the filmed material to be captured in the same
                           HD system without the loss of image quality. The resources for capturing and finishing of
                           the editing platform enable the best hour cost administration of the final process of the
                           audio-visual project.

                           A project favored by the Rouanet Law of Ministry for Culture for encouragement of cultural
                           pursuits and institutional support of the Chico Mendes Institute for Preservation of
                           Biodiversity (ICMBio).
                           This project is focused on the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the preserved
                           regions, in a wide research task that records and publicizes the habits and customs,
                           traditions, characteristics and importance of the parks, with their fauna and flora, within an
                           environmental context.
                           SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
                           Publicity for the regions and the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Brazil, both in the
                           country and abroad.
                           Record and publicize the rich cultural, natural and historical heritage of Brazilian parks,
                           strengthening the identity and also the relationship between humanity and nature;
                           Help to boost the development of tourist activities in the regions;
                           Help to boost the self-esteem of the local population, by getting them involved in the work,
                           building awareness in them so that they may preserve and add value to their wealth for
                           present and future generations;
                           Encourage sustainable and non-predatory development;
                           Become a sub-material for studies in schools, colleges and educational centers;
                           Document and publicize the natural regions protected by the Federal, State or Municipal
                           Government or by private individuals.
                           The contest shall be part of the series of 35 BD (Bluray Disc) produced on high definition
                           program. It will be press of more than 3 thousand copies of each title, focusing on the
                           cultural, historical and natural heritage of more than 70 Brazilian National Parks. It shall
                           have a wider research work conducted, registering the data and the portfolio of these parks
                           in encyclopedic form, and shall be divided into 2 titles each of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
                           The programs shall be appropriate for the Internet, where they shall be showcased in a
                           portal.

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE WANT FUNDAÇÃO FÓRMULA CULTURAL A non-profit foundation with cultural purposes, established in July, 1994 and acknowledged as being of federal public interest by the Administrative Regulation Nº 1788 dated 09/16/2008 published in the Union Official Gazette on 09/17/2008 with the purpose of developing special projects for cultural activities propagation, social interaction and access to the much diverse forms of knowledge, information and enhancement of the Brazilian people cultural and artistic levels. FFC’s – Fórmula Cultural Foundation – directing founders are companies and professionals from the communication area aiming to prepare projects and special actions to capture resources from investment funds and public and private entities, domestic and foreign companies, in order to allow interaction of culture, work, knowledge and life quality Instituted by companies and professionals from several areas of Communication, among which are the publicity agencies, video producers, broadcast and journalism companies it has gathered, through their information, top know-how and determination to accomplish its corporate purpose. Besides its founders, the Boards of Directors and Administrators has had the participation of the most respectable professionals and executives in the Brazilian market, representing, in their roles, companies like: Banco América do Sul (extinguished and incorporated), Salles Interamericana (same), Eastman Kodak, Citizen, Ajinomoto, Panasonic, and others, besides Kazuo Wakabayashi, a well-known painter and several other representatives of the Brazilian society community. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE WANT MISSION FCC- Fundação Fórmula Cultural (Cultural Equation Foundation) was created with the mission of fostering culture in the most diverse and expressive means of manifestation: Access to artistic knowledge and information, through social insertion of the Brazilian population is one of the entity’s targets, developing special projects in the cultural environment. Professional and human development, respecting social, cultural and ethnical differences is also part of the Foundation’s philosophy, which explores the human wealth provided by the uniqueness of usages, costumes and beliefs. Social unit and environmental awareness feeling strengthen the thoughts of Formula Cultural Foundation, valorizing the major transformation agent in the world: the human being. SOCIAL PURPOSES The foundation has as an objective the development of culture and information, education and professional improvement, environmental preservation, sustainability, technology, sports, and well being, especially in: • Organization of regular courses in the areas of cinema, videos, essays, editing and special effects, shooting in studios and outdoor, sound, journalism, editing, web design and IT, and other regular courses to coach and graduate individuals in specific areas in which the entity works in • Publication of books, magazines, flyers, newspapers, sites and other ways that advertise the activities or contributions that interests the associations’ objective • Promote an interchange with cultural institutions of search, environmental preservation, sports, and national and international development by means of agreements that makes exhibitions possible, reunions, seminaries and training of artistic profiles, literary, of information and professional qualification • Stimulate and promote exhibitions, shows, conferences, debates, fairs, cinematic projections through the production of videos, films, documentaries, projects in CD, DVD, Bluray or any other type of media, in addition to festivals, popular events, and other activities together with cultural and artistic development, informative, technological, sportive, and environmental allowing an opportunity for ideas, cultural elements, traditions, and social habits of the community with the objective of stimulating leisure, culture, and social existing • Stimulate and participate in programs or projects that has as an objective the transfer of advanced technology to the country in the production of audio video, special effects, and sustainability related to the environment and its’ preservation Av. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE WANT • Elaborate projects of environmental education in a way to promote conservation actions, the recuperation of degraded areas in the rural and urban environment, sustainable use of natural resources, that’s ecologically and socially just, as well as the protection of the physical identity, social and cultural urban grouping with own resources or coming from agreements or other juridical possible forms • Stimulate cultural activities, of sports and education, with the objective of making conscious of the necessity to preserve small communities and their respective culture, including their respect and different forms of environmental existence • Promote the defense of goods and social rights, collective or diffused related to the environment, cultural property, and human rights The Formula Cultural Foundation may work as well as in the following activities: • Creation of schools and educational centers of all grades • Develop laboratories for research, with the objective of stimulating the production of new jobs in the cinematographic market and others, with the consequence of building studios for it • Planning and constructing hotels for the members of the foundation or guests • Management and vigilance of ecosystems in its’ property and other areas for environmental conservation • Import equipments, accessories, software, and know-how necessary for the transfer of advanced technology related to its’ social objective, well as electronic equipments, clean energy generating system, water purification treatment system, and others • Incentive to the cooperative system of the local population generating and sharing the knowledge related to the conservation and management of the region • Offer services of technical consulting and production in the audio-visual area, internet, culture, information, education, environment, technology or any other area of knowledge for the self existence, maintenance, and execution of projects Av.   • 5. PROJECTS CITIZEN ECO DRIVE AND WWF Project in cooperation with WWF, sponsored by Citizen do Brazil. Part of the sales of the Eco-Drive model watch, manufactured with a non-environmentally aggressive technology, was donated to WWF, an entity dedicated to the environment and endangered animals protection. CLUBE DO PORQUÊ Project developed in cooperation with Radio Educadora de Campinas. A Radio Program then sponsored by Yakult, aimed for the children-youth audience with the participation of the fundamental school aged audience with live questions to specialized professionals. Initially expected to last for 3 months, the project was extended to 12 months due to large participation of the audience. DVD KARAOKÊ – DIGIOKÊ Production of the first national range of DVDs software with a karaoke system in 1999 which, at the time when Digital Video Disc was launched, the market was supplied only by foreign films and music shows. The series was formed by repertoires of MPB, children’s songs and traditional carnival marches for disclosure of Brazilian pop music. AMAZONAS SIMBIOSE Project prominent for the investment in environmental research and preservation. Development based on cultural projects for education and awareness of the national and international communities, together with state and federal research institutes in 2004, in this case with IPAAM – Instituto de Proteção Ambiental do Amazonas (Amazonas Environmental Protection Institute). Sponsored by a private company from the photographic field for the preservation of the Galo da Serra species, considered as one of the most beautiful birds of the Amazonian fauna. We have a lot to learn from our fauna and flora. WEB CONTENTS - CONTENT FOR WEBSITE/ DIGITAL MAGAZINE Project focused on the coordination and production of digital content for websites as well as their update. Through the communication professionals roll in Brazil and abroad, the concept aims to disseminate the most delicate information of the Brazilian economic activity routine, enriching and clearing the population daily life. Always with a simple language and adjusted to each project, allows special focusing to the current institutional websites transforming them into curious sources and information sources besides entertainment, culture, study and research for many people eager for knowledge. Web Magazine Pioneer – automotive project. History of the automobile, World Rock Day, Technological evolution of the auto-radios, interviews with celebrities of the Brazilian music and many other information are part of one of the projects that explain the concept. NEWS NETWORK A project constituted in a data bank with more than 3 thousand professionals in the communication areas: journalists, reporters, writers, translators, journalistic photographers, web designers, illustrators, script writers, cultural producers, and many others. Professional collaborators in all 26 states of Brazil are prompt ellaborate or collect any necessary information for our’ projects. Av. PROJECTS HIGH DEFINITION STUDIO The High Definition Studio project, or simply HD studio, provides the next generation of image quality in capturing and finishing of audio-visual works in the HD system. With eyes on the media convergences, the structure aims to produce programs in the new system, compatible with TV broadcasters’ tendencies, player devices and big screens (LCD and Plasma) of the electronic industry and movie theaters. Image Capturing The tested equipments in the Brazilian National Parks’ project prove the high fidelity of the colors and contrasts present in nature. The cameras’ resources allied to the lenses’ sensibility forms a set that provides scenes and effects of extreme richness of the audio- visual project, with quality and similarity of the resources found only in cinema. Finishing The studio for the completion provides all the filmed material to be captured in the same HD system without the loss of image quality. The resources for capturing and finishing of the editing platform enable the best hour cost administration of the final process of the audio-visual project. PARQUES NACIONAIS DO BRASIL – WWW.NATIONALPARK.ORG.BR A project favored by the Rouanet Law of Ministry for Culture for encouragement of cultural pursuits and institutional support of the Chico Mendes Institute for Preservation of Biodiversity (ICMBio). This project is focused on the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the preserved regions, in a wide research task that records and publicizes the habits and customs, traditions, characteristics and importance of the parks, with their fauna and flora, within an environmental context. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES Publicity for the regions and the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Brazil, both in the country and abroad. Record and publicize the rich cultural, natural and historical heritage of Brazilian parks, strengthening the identity and also the relationship between humanity and nature; Help to boost the development of tourist activities in the regions; Help to boost the self-esteem of the local population, by getting them involved in the work, building awareness in them so that they may preserve and add value to their wealth for present and future generations; Encourage sustainable and non-predatory development; Become a sub-material for studies in schools, colleges and educational centers; Document and publicize the natural regions protected by the Federal, State or Municipal Government or by private individuals. The contest shall be part of the series of 35 BD (Bluray Disc) produced on high definition program. It will be press of more than 3 thousand copies of each title, focusing on the cultural, historical and natural heritage of more than 70 Brazilian National Parks. It shall have a wider research work conducted, registering the data and the portfolio of these parks in encyclopedic form, and shall be divided into 2 titles each of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The programs shall be appropriate for the Internet, where they shall be showcased in a portal. Av.
