2. Introduction In the International School Manila, there are three schools, elementary, middle, and high school. Because the school is so big the classrooms are far apart. There are four floors, plaza to fourth floor. From one floor to another floor there are around 30 stairs and from plaza to fourth floor there are 110 stairs.
3. Hypothesis If students use the stairs to go to the next class then they will be less able to concentrate in the beginning of their class, because using the stairs makes us fatigued and lowers our mental abilities.
5. What we are doing… (Method) Get one male and one female test subject. Get one bag and one reaction timer. Have the subjects climb the stairs from the Plaza level to 4th floor and take a reaction test inside room 4008. Repeat with the starting point changing to 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors for each test respectively.
8. Answer to our question… The Question was… Does physical active (stairs) have a direct impact on learning (brain reaction time)?
9. Conclusion This test was conducted to determine whether physical activity (stairs) has a direct impact on learning (brain reaction time)? Two people from our group, one boy and one girl, they carried their own backpack and they climbed the stairs from the plaza level to the first floor. The test was repeated from the plaza to the second, third and fourth floor. Since we kept our variables the same, our data wasn’t corrupted by outside sources. According to the raw data, the more stairs one climbed, the more tired one felt. Therefore, it was our data that physical activity has direct impact on learning.
