2. Castleman
Trailway
I chose this location to start
my opening as it is quite
quiet and secluded,
therefore I will be able to
keep the main focus of the
initial shots on the
protagonist. It is a plausible
setting for jogging, and the
browns and greens will
contrast well with the white
t-shirt my protagonist will
wear, allowing her to stand
out.
3. Highstreet
I chose this location as it will
be busy at key times of day
which makes the scenario
taking place more plausible,
reinforced further by the
narrow pavements next to
the roads which would cause
many situations like the one
in my opening.As the high
street in Ringwood is fairly
generic this fits in with my
genre as the location is
instantly recognisable as a
town high street.
4. School
I have chosen this location as
it is easily recognisable as a
school and therefore ties in
with the age of the
protagonist and is very
relatable to.The school
setting also implies the
presence of other students,
therefore this reinforces the
plausibility of the characters
in this scene, especially the
teacher who may not be
recognised as a teacher in
another setting but it
obviously one here.
5. Quomp
I chose this location for the
final scene of my opening as
it is urban but residential, so
it is likely to be deserted at
night which is what I need
for my final scene.The
sparseness and positioning
of the streetlights is also key
as there is one directly on
the corner where I would like
the interaction between
characters to take place, so
they will be lit but the
atmosphere will be
preserved.
