2. What is gmo? A genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. These techniques, generally known as recombinant DNA technology, use DNA molecules from different sources, which are combined into one molecule to create a new set of genes. This DNA is then transferred into an organism, giving it modified or novel genes. Transgenic organisms, a subset of GMOs, are organisms which have inserted DNA that originated in a different species.

ANTI GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISM INTRODUCTION Definition of Genetically Modified Crops (GMOs) Before I go more in depth about the pros and cons of genetically modified crops, let me first give a definition of what genetically modified crops are. GMOs are made because it is possible to make them, not because consumers feel their need. Possible creation of new kinds of weapons; genetic food and beverage weapons. Additional costs of labeling whether products are GMOs or not. This might increase costs of foods. Unforeseen risks and dangers due to the complexity of nature.
7. Widening corporate size gaps between food producing giants and smaller ones. This might cause a consolidation in the market: fewer competitors increase the risk of oligopolies, which might increase food prices. Larger companies might have more political power. They might be able to influence safety and health standards (example: less stringent regulations, standards and requirements). Activists’ increased ability to boycott and influence food market, food retailing, and food prices.
8. Allergies may become more intense, and also, new allergy types may develop. Discrepancies in information flow. GMO producers stress the benefits, but are reluctant to talk about risks and dangers. planting GMO crops may be devastating our food supply. Plants that are resistant to herbicides may cross with weeds, creating super-weeds which could choke out other food crops. Organic, natural food crops are easily contaminated with GMO crops by wind or insect cross-pollination, and these natural crops, especially corn and soy, are almost entirely contaminated by GMO traits now. This is ruining our natural food supply.
9. MY CONCLUSION According to my research I choose anti GMO because its have many harmful effect in all organisms. And its possible that our environment will be damages by using it. And it will cause health problem. GMOs produce massive changes in the natural functioning of a plant's DNA. Native genes can be mutated, deleted, or permanently turned on or off. The inserted gene can become truncated, fragmented, mixed with other genes, inverted or multiplied, and the GM protein it produces may have unintended characteristics that may be very harmful.
10. GMO's also pose other health risks. When a transgene functions in a new cell, it may produce different proteins than the ones intended. They may be harmful, but there's no way to know without scientific testing. Bt-toxin is the pesticidal protein that is produced by the cells of genetically modified plants. Imagine what might happen if the genetically engineered DNA which produces pesticides were able to insert itself into human cells, and the damage that this could cause. So we will see the harmful effects of GMO so why we don’t avoid to use it?
