7. OUR OBJECTIVE
The app will provide visual reports via Google maps and fusion table,
allowing users to filter the data by category.
The app will serve as a platform for whistleblowers considering the fact that
Nigerians elections have been marred by various malpractices, some of
which are not reported because of the absence of mainstream media
because of their absence in remote locations.
The app will also detect the location of the user, who uploads the report, by
GPS to determine the accuracy of the information.
Latest stories are highlighted with the red dot, making it easy to find the
latest news at a glance or at a click on the button.
The report will be displayed alongside contacts of district officials and any
NGO monitoring the election in that location.
The users can rate the district officials, in terms of speedy and efficient
responses.
The app keeps track of statistics that show user responses.

news, rallies, internal and external agreement and disagreements,
horse trading etc.
• Online Interaction: We want to use twitter, facebook and other social
media platforms to engage and interact. An interface that can allow
users contribute using these platforms as well.
• Audio-visuals: YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest will also be
deployed for effective coverage of the election.
• News grouped by topic for quick and easy access for users to find the

polling agents, all the political parties, all the states in nigeria, and
profiles of the major players and contestants etc.

10. Through this app, we will be able
to:
1.Gather prompt information and new data for users across the globe to
follow the election at every point in time.
2.Display such huge and complicated data in an easy and simple to-
understand-manner.
3.Engage the media, government, civil society and the citizens in solving
election challenges such as vote rigging and other malpractices generally.
4.Commend and encourage key players that ensure that the election is
conducted in a free and fair manner.
5.Ensure that every vote counts and to banish electoral malpractices from
Nigeria. In other words, we want Nigeria elections to be occasions for
celebration, as is the case in parts of the developed countries, and not
occasions for apprehension and anxiety over the violence that elections
could throw up as we have witnessed in the past in Nigeria.
