7th Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations from August 4-6, 2010. The Youth Assembly is an annual gathering of hundreds of young people from around the world who seek practical ways to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, global networking and social entrepreneurship skills as well as meeting with and contributing to civil society formally affiliated with the United Nations.

MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME January 3 - 9, 2011 University for Peace Ciudad Colon, Costa Rica The MDLP provides students with the skills and knowledge to start and lead projects related to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). This intensive certificate programme will be hosted on the campus of the UN Mandated University for Peace located in the mountains of Ciudad Colon, Costa Rica. MDLP curriculum focuses on training participants to build a business plan for their own initiatives. Youth Assembly Leadership Team In 2002, the original concept for the Youth Assembly at the United Nations was formed by Patrick Sciarratta, Executive Director, Friendship Ambassadors Foundation and Dr. Elaine Valdov, Director, International Institute for the Culture of Peace. Since then, the project has been under FAF’s management. Since 2003, U.N. Headquarters and Pace University have been the venues for the Youth Assembly.
