Project Scope Definition: Real World Best Practices The following items should be in scope for this engagement: Best Practices recommendations for the SharePoint 2010 Portal hierarchy and site structure Deliverable Overview: EPC Group will review and recommend the overall updating for the sites, subsites, project-based sites, SharePoint’s hierarchy and site lifecycle, and provide recommendations based on the new required changes to the web app address. EPC Group will perform a full blown migration of the current SharePoint environment’s content into a new SharePoint 2010 environment. EPC Group will assess the current SharePoint 2007 environment and then migrate it into a new SharePoint Server 2010 to be utilized internally for departments and team members as a central collaboration Intranet tool and to manage their day-to-day documents and content.

Granular Upgrade Tasks: Real World Best Practices Review customizations found during the SharePoint 2007 review and determine what, if any, custom requirements or upgrade paths may be required for those customizations. Granular Upgrade Tasks: Real World Best Practices EPC Group will work with team to run test upgrades on a select number of sites or content databases to review any issues and develop a remediation plan prior to moving forward with the farms upgrade EPC Group will work with the organization internal SharePoint resources to implement a communication plan and schedule the training and perform the actual “train the trainer” sessions to those internal champions to assist in training of the overall (Client) organization user base EPC Group will then perform the actual upgrades for the (Client) The organization SharePoint 2007 instances EPC Group will then perform a post SharePoint 2010 Health Check and Assessment on each instance of the organization. These tasks will include items such as: Reviewing error logs on all servers Reviewing all sites, site templates, and their related user interface Review permissions and access Verify the version numbers on sites and throughout the farm Perform Disaster Recovery Test Review performance of all new SharePoint 2010 Farms and work closely with internal personnel to continue to monitor the performance throughout the weeks following the upgrade

Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals. Under Section 508 (29 U.S.C. ‘ 794d), agencies must give disabled employees and members of the public access to information that is comparable to the access available to others.
